In the age of COVID-19, living a healthy lifestyle has sort of taken on a whole new meaning.
Of course, we should always be trying to live a healthy lifestyle and better ourselves. But with the global pandemic… some things have become extra urgent.
One of these things is how healthy your immune system is. This is what can help your body fight off something like COVID-19. So, it’s especially important right now that you know how your immune system works… and what the best things are for your system.
BRAND-NEW: This “Golden Herb” Supplement Reduces Chronic Pain & InflammationLuckily, it’s pretty simple. Research has shown there are a lot of factors that could be negatively affecting your immune system.
Here are a few examples of ways that you could be leaving yourself more vulnerable to falling sick. (Don’t worry… we’ll touch on ways to fix all of these issues as well!)
1) Increased Anxiety
I’m putting this one first because I’m sure we are all feeling heightened levels of anxiety.
It turns out that this could be suppressing your immune system. Anxiety can lower your immune system in just 30 minutes!
Luckily, there are simple ways to effectively deal with anxiety.
I’m a really big fan of meditation. Even just taking 10 to 15 minutes to meditate can calm your mind and keep those anxious thoughts in check.
Another option is taking a quick break. When you start to feel overwhelmed… or perhaps those nagging thoughts are just too much to shake off… change it up!
Go for a walk. Turn on a show for a little bit. Cook something.
Distract your mind, and you may find that those worries sort of melt away.
2) Not Eating Enough Fruits & Vegetables
A lack of fruits and vegetables in your diet can hurt your immune system. That’s because you may be preventing your body from making the white blood cell count needed to fight an infection.

It’s really easy to fix this one. Just eat more fruits and vegetables!
For example, I try to have fruit with my breakfast every day. I also make sure that I have some vegetables on my plate for both lunch and dinner.
3) Staying Inside Too Much
Okay, this is another big one because of quarantine. There have been days where I feel like I’ve just been cooped up inside NON-STOP!
Well, naturally, this isn’t very good for your body. Sunlight can give some cells in your body energy… and it just so happens that these cells help to fight infections.
This is also an easy fix. Try to dedicate at least 30 minutes or more every day to being outdoors.
I know there may be some misconceptions with what self-distancing and quarantine means. Definitely check with your state, but in most cases, it’s okay to go outside!
The big thing that you have to be careful about is making sure you’re distanced from other people. Try wearing a face covering if you’re walking around town where you could come into contact with others… and if you’re really nervous, you can even just get out on your porch, front steps, or back patio… and decompress for a while!
4) Drinking Alcohol
No surprise here, but drinking too much alcohol can lower your body’s ability to fight off germs for up to a day.
This is a big one because if you’re like me… you like to maybe have a glass of wine to relax at the end of a long day. With quarantine mode, it’s sort of easy to slip into a bad habit since you might be working from home. Plus, times are just super crazy!

And, if you feel like you liked to drink a lot or go out for happy hours a ton pre-quarantine… maybe just tone it back for the sake of your immune system.
Instead of that glass of wine, try putting together a puzzle or reading a book. Even go on a long evening stroll!
5) Not Sleeping Enough
This is another one that maybe you’re struggling with during quarantine. I mean, I know I’m extra stressed… and I often think I can stay up later since my schedule isn’t as stringent as when I was going into work every day.
But, sleep can affect your immune system! You’re more likely to catch something if your body isn’t able to recover… and your body will be less likely to be able to fend off an infection or germs.
Make sure you’re getting enough sleep. Try to make a schedule for yourself so you’re getting at least 8 full hours of sleep a night.
If you struggle to fall asleep (like me), I recommend not looking at a screen for a while before you sleep. The light from things like computer screens and phones may keep you up even longer.
Also, I really like to spray a little bit of lavender onto my sheets and pillows. This really helps me relax!

So, those are some really common factors that could be negatively affecting your immune system… without you even knowing it. Luckily, they’re so common that they’re also pretty easy to fix.

One Big Step You Can Take To Support Your Immune System & Protect Yourself From Respiratory Viruses
You know what they say: the best defense is a good offense.
So in addition to making sure your “defense” is strong by watching out for these factors that could sabotage your immune system…
This can include following all of the usual recommendations like washing your hands… not touching your face… and staying in whenever possible…
However… you can be much more proactive than that if you do one simple thing:
Take these 3 specific probiotic strains… which were recently proven in a study to help prevent respiratory viruses.
This brand-new research, which was conducted recently in China, conclusively showed that these 3 probiotic strains can not only give you a better chance of NOT catching respiratory viruses (like a coronavirus)… but can also make the symptoms less severe if you do catch a virus. [1]
So to see which probiotic supplement includes ALL 3 of these particular probiotic strains… and how they work to protect your body from respiratory viruses like COVID-19… click here:
P.S. – An added benefit of this supplement? It was formulated as a weight-loss probiotic! And with all of the info out there about how obese folks are at much higher risk of severe COVID symptoms and ICU hospitalization… I thought that might be of interest as well!
